Ambassador Hattori’s Visit to the University of Khartoum

On July 26, Ambassador Hattori visited the University of Khartoum, where he toured the Japan Booth located within the University’s library, and also held a meeting with Dr. Imadeldin E. Aradaib, Vice Chancellor of the University of Khartoum.
Ambassador Hattori visited the Japan Booth located in the Khartoum University Library. After visiting the Japan Booth, Ambassador Hattori also toured the University of Khartoum Library museum room.
The Japan Booth was established in 2008 by a Japanese NPO, Rocinantes, and has a tatami room where visitors can experience Japanese-style space and dozens of Japanese books.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Imadeldin E. Aradaib, Vice Chancellor of the University of Khartoum, mentioned that many graduates of the University of Khartoum are studying and conducting research at Japanese universities, and expressed his desire to strengthen ties between the University of Khartoum and Japanese universities and academic institutions.
In response, Ambassador Hattori praised the various collaborations between the University of Khartoum and Japanese universities in many fields, including medicine and pharmacy, and expressed his desire to continue strengthening bilateral ties in the academic field.
