Ambassador Hattori attended the Handover Ceremony of the FY2021 “The Project for Rehabilitation of Maigoma Health Center in Al Sajjana Locality, Khartoum City” Grassroots Grant Aid Project

On December 11, 2022, Ambassador HATTORI attended the handover ceremony of the health center building which was renovated under the “The Project for Rehabilitation of Maigoma Health Center in Al Sajjana Locality, Khartoum City” held at the Maigoma Health Center in Al Sajjana District, Khartoum City. The ceremony was attended by more than 50 people, including the Khartoum Ministry of Health, residents and related parties from the Al Sajjana District.
The representative of the recipient organization, Jisr al-Attar charity that carried out the case mentioned that, "Twenty years ago was the best time to plant a tree, but the second best time is now." She also expressed her gratitude for the support from Japan that has completed the restoration of this Maigoma public health center. she also stated that, she will never forget the support from the Japanese people.
Ambassador HATTORI said that the purpose of this project is to provide a better treatment environment for the people of Sajana District, and he was delighted to be able to restore the health center. He said that Japan is focusing on assisting in various fields, including health care, and that he was honored to support the Maigoma Public Health Center in the center of Khartoum. Finally, he said that the Center is a symbol of the longstanding friendship between the people of Sudan and Japan, and that Japan would like to continue to support the people of Sudan.
