Japan Empowers Sudanese Youth and Women with Leadership Training for Peace and Democracy

The Chargé d'Affaires of the Japanese Embassy in Sudan, Mr. Kentaro Mizuuchi, inaugurated a three-day capacity building training on leadership for peace and democracy for a group of Sudanese youth and women, funded by the Government of Japan. The training was held in Mombasa, Kenya, from July 29 to 31, and was implemented by the IGAD Leadership Academy.
Mr. Mizuuchi said,“Despite the bleak political present in Sudan, we, the government and people of Japan, have never given up hope regarding Sudan and its future. What a better way to ensure this than to equip its youth with the needed skills and capabilities to steer the future their beloved country deserves”
